Since Andy's out of town all week, Myles has been picking up the slack by learning to unload. It's about time he pulled his weight around here! I snapped these with my phone to send to Dada...
look at those pudge legs--i could eat him up! he sits like this all the time and it's so cute to me.
It is quite a scene these days with little monster rampaging through the kitchen. I know other moms completely relate. While I'm cooking, his "organizing" duties include spreading every bowl/container/pan we own across the floor, clanging dog bowls together, you name it (all the while I am spouting off a "no touch!" and "hands off" here and there with very little success).
While I was cooking in the kitchen yesterday, I had to laugh out loud at the scene that is our everyday now. I went to answer the door, only to return and find a big white dust cloud and some powder substance covering both the floors and my baby...apparently there was a random box of baking soda in the cabinet. an oversight on my part, but obvious fun for little boys.
I confess that most days I respond in frustration, but there are also times when the Lord graciously reminds me of the sweetness and joy of it all. What a gift to see our little one grow and explore and learn before our eyes, even if it is messy and loud and chaotic at times. I wouldn't want it any other way!

If you want to hire out your new helper, I'm looking for a little someone just like him! LOVE this post, and all of you, so much. Can't wait to see the birthday boy and friends next weekend!
You are wonderful. I love reading this blog. I CAN believe how adorable Myles is, because of who his parents are! But it is still so amazing to look at these pictures and hear about your life! Love you, always, Kel, even though we are far away! Love Jordan
Oh girl! Sometimes it's so hard to revel in the joy of their messes rather than seeing it as one more thing I have to clean. But they are pretty amazing little things, aren't they? Love the "dishwashing" photos!
