I can't believe 8 weeks have already passed with our baby boy! We feel pretty adjusted to our new life and things are getting easier for sure--I think we are just kind of used to it more than anything. We're getting more sleep, and for that we are very thankful. Myles is getting closer and closer to sleeping through the night, but hasn't quite made it there yet. We put him down around 8:00pm each night, and Andy gives him a bottle around 10:30. Then he wakes up anywhere from 3:45-5:30am to eat again. This morning he went until 5:45 (I think this is technically considered sleeping through the night, it just doesn't feel like it at all to me). I was awake for about 2 hours prior to this because he was making so many baby noises and crying a little here and there. I'm so used to getting up that it's hard for me to sleep past 3:30 or so. I've even had to start reading in the wee hours to get sleepy again. Overall, I don't feel exhausted at all during the day--I'm so glad the zombie phase has passed.
Myles has changed faster than I ever thought possible since we first met him! It's such a weird thing how he's beginning to have his own little personality--he's just turning into his own little self more and more before our eyes. He's cooing, smiling so much, grabbing everything he can, and I really think we'll hear him laugh any day now. It's so fun feeling like he and I can interact now--sometimes it feels like he just wants to say something so bad, but can only make funny baby sounds. Each day really is so precious, because I know it's passing so quickly. Cheesy, but it is all such a gift. He is such a gift to us. One we never ever could have deserved. We love him so...
