This is mostly for the grandparents who love to have the up to the minute details on our boy. Not that I've even been up to the month given my most recent blog world absence. I blame the 24/7 puppy duties. We still have 5 left + Millie to find homes for, but it will happen.
Myles continues to grow and change faster than I can keep up with. We've been having SO much fun with him lately! This boy of ours has quickly turned into a waving fool, as of last week. Not only does he wave to people, but also to feet, TV's, furniture, and his toy elephant. He loves to laugh, "dance" (bouncing mostly), give kisses (open-mouth style), and roll around on the floor playing with toys. When I ask him where Remy is, he looks around until he spots her and then gets really excited. His favorite times are when we are out and about--he's happiest in the shopping cart (hamming it up for anyone who passes), in a restaurant high chair, and in the baby swings at the park. He's also started to enjoy going down the slide together! Rem even went down the slide twice last week, and she hated every second. Also, his top two teeth are coming in nicely, and I just noticed he has two more tops starting to show.
God has our family in a really sweet season right now and we are grateful. The winter months were tough in some ways, adjusting to motherhood and staying home with the baby. In retrospect, I can see that now more clearly as I feel like a slight fog has lifted--I couldn't quite put my finger on it until I felt the absence of it. I'm learning more about how to rest in God's sovereignty and trust Him as our keeper and provider...loosening my tight grip of control on life and on people is freeing. I never knew how much the Lord would use motherhood to expose my continual my need for Christ and draw me closer to His heart.
I'll do a Mother's Day recap Monday morning hopefully!
