I know I have written in forever...October has been packed and so much fun. Fall is my favorite time--we've just been so busy living I haven't paused much to document it. Yesterday we went down to Franklin to Gentry's Farm and it was one of the best days we've shared together.
*A quick disclaimer...Our days are not as idyllic as this post may lead you to believe. This just happpened to be a really beautiful, lovely day together amidst many messy, ugly not so fun days that we have like everyone else. I'm just not as likely to write about those, but they exist more often than not. Just so you know, for honesty's sake.
Myles and I were actually planning to pumpkin patch it with our MOMS Club this week, but with Andy traveling, little one and I are declaring a Fall Break for ourselves and heading to Memphis, so we'll miss that activity. I was determined to go still and I knew we'd love it more if Andy was with us. I'm so glad we all went! We've unanimously made it a new family tradition. Gentry's way exceeded my expectations. I'm talking hayrides, petting zoo, slides, corn maizes, tepees..Myles and I had to have been the most excited people there. He loved getting up close with the animals and exploring. And how much more we loved watching him play and enjoy these things! We left with a big pumpkin to carve, a smaller one for M's room, and one worn out boy. Fortunately we had a long ride back for him to sleep and us to chat and hold hands and think about how gracious God is to give us such beautiful October days.
*Before you look at pictures, I need to mention that a lady at the store today called Myles 'juicy'. Do you agree? And how should one respond to such a comment?
Below was M's favorite activity. I don't know if we've ever seen him so enthralled with anything. Thinking of building one for the backyard...it's only corn for goodness sakes! Andy thinks we have a future farmer on our hands.

How I love that little pumpkin! What a glorious day--thank you so much for sharing it with all of us. Hope to someday be along for the ride when you visit the farm--looks like so much fun for our little Future Farmer!

So fun! And yes, I'd agree that M is 'juicy'. Like squishy and so sweet you could eat him up! I would have responded with a 'Isn't he just?!'
