Monster Mash

This really felt like our first Halloween with Myles since he was such a little baby last year. I was excited even though he's still young and didn't have a clue. A couple things we did on Halloween worth mentioning:
The three of us went to eat at a new little restaurant near us called The Silly Goose. It far exceeded our expectations and I'm already scheming about how I can get my hands on another Roscoe sandwich soon. Yum!

Andy and I have been taking Myles to the playground a lot so we did that and then made our way over to celebrate the birthday of a sweet little friend. Delicious carrot cake with pumpkin ice cream, one failed attempt at apple cider, and a cat nap later we geared up to get our trick-or-treat on.

We didn't really know what to expect with Myles in a costume, but he loved it. We were out for a few hours and the monster did great. He never even pulled at his 'hat.' His favorite part was visiting a friend's house and 'throwing' a ball with their youngest son.

At the end of the night we walked to pick up pizza, put Myles to bed, and watched a scary movie together. Followed by The Office of course. Hope your Halloween was a fun one too!

I will also add that trick-or-treating was very intense with just masses upon masses of people. I had heard it was a big deal on Eastland, but I was not prepared for the insanity. Next year we will opt for more low key streets so I don't spend the night worried about losing our son in the crowds. But I'm glad we got to see it and that so many people were into it.

Lame, we went as ourselves..but we are so dressing up with Myles next year!

Lis joined us! With Dustin traveling, we got to be on-call for the baby all weekend. I had a nightmare last night that I missed 15 calls from her. Fortunately there is no baby news on our watch yet: )

This was the Beauty and the Beast house apparently. Belle and Beast were slow dancing to music the whole time while Lumiere and Mrs. Potts gave out candy. Most of the houses we went to went all out as you can see by this!

That's a pretty scary looking little monster you got there--hope he didn't terrorize Eastland Avenue too badly . . . I want both the boys to bring their costumes to Thanksgiving so we can take a picture of them together, okay? Love y'all--thanks so much for sharing the Halloween fun!
