double date

...well, that's what i choose to call it. andy, myles, and i bundled up sunday afternoon and headed to whole foods to shop and eat lunch. it was really crowded and i was enjoying people watching as usual. we were busily carting myles around and trying to make impossible choices between all the yummy food at the hot deli bar. as i reached for more pasta salad, i spotted her right across from me. there was no doubt about it. i sort of froze, and just said, "andy, andy, andy...it's nicole kidman. it's nicole kidman," over and over under my breath trying to get his attention, but not also not wanting her to hear. i immediately made my way over to the squash casserole to get a closer look. then she walked over to the oven baked pizza counter and joined keith in line. she looked like everybody else in green hills in a way--very trendy-grunge. she's so beautiful! they ate their food just a few seats away from us. i couldn't stop staring at them.

the strange part to me was everybody else at the store. either they didn't notice, didn't think it was a big deal (not likely, but i've heard she is a regular there), or were just playing it cool. i was glad they weren't bombarded and could enjoy an outing though.

all that to say, considering People and Star are among my favorite guilty pleasures, it was a big day for me. andy thought i was pretty silly about it all, but i didn't care. i do sort of wish i had been with girlfriends instead of a boy for the whole thing.

who knows...maybe our paths will cross again when baby sunday rose starts dating myles.

p.s. i also saw taylor swift recently on the street, but it wasn't nearly as exciting. and that's all my star sightings--probably for forever!
